This week was our 2026 Vacation Bible School. We had over 50 children attend and another 50 volunteers for over 100 participants in total. Thank you to all our parents, youth and adult volunteers, staff, and donors for making this a successful VBS!
This week we traveled to Rainforest Falls to learn about nature—and the nature of God. On Day One, we learned that God is our creator. God made everything: the world, the sun, plants, birds, fish, frogs…everything! And he made us in his image.
On Day Two, we learned that God sees everything! We heard about a man called David who wrote special poems called “psalms.” One psalm is about how God made us and knows everything about us. What we look like, what we like to eat, even how many hairs we have on our head! God made us each unique, just the way he wants us, and he loves us, too.
On Day Three, we learned that God is our Safe Place. We heard a story from the Bible about David. When David was a young man, a king named Saul became jealous of David and angry at him and tried to hurt him. He chased David all over the country. But David trusted God and God kept David safe, allowing him and his friends to hide in the mountains, in the desert, and even in caves! The same way, we can trust God to keep us safe when we are scared.
On Day Four, we learned that God is love and God is forever! We heard a story from the Bible about a time that Jesus talked to his friend John. Jesus told John about heaven, a place that he has made for all of us to live forever with him. Heaven is a perfect place where no one will ever be sad or afraid anymore because we’ll be surrounded by God’s love. We also learned how to share God’s love with others. We made sandwiches and hygiene bags to share with our neighbors who need help.
Thank you for joining us this year at Rainforest Falls!
