What a wonderful day of fellowship and community! The people of Christ Church gathered on Sunday, October 20 for one of the highlights of the parish calendar, the annual parish picnic. This year’s picnic was particularly special because it was the next stop in our Bicentennial Celebration and many Bicentennial T-shirts made an appearance.
As is has for several years, the picnic was held at Wind Clan Farm in Juliette, Georgia, a gorgeous piece of woodland nestled between the Ocmulgee River and the Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge. The October air was crisp, but not too cold, as people gathered to enjoy paddle boats, hay rides, and, of course, a lot of food in the massive timber dining pavilion.
We thank Peter and Karen Holliday for hosting the event and everyone who contributed a dish to the wonderful dinner.
