This morning we celebrated Christ the King Sunday with our second All in the Family intergenerational Sunday School and service project. We gathered in the Great Hall to talk about the kingship of Christ and what it means for our lived. We talked bout how we are the hands and feet of Christ, following his example of sacrifice and service.
Then we put the lesson into action by packing over 100 hygiene kits to distribute to people at Weekend Lunch and others who came to the church looking for help. We also assembled dozens of kits with feminine hygiene products. There items, like soap, lotion, toothbrushes, wash clothes, and lip balm are among the most requested items by homeless people. Thank you to everyone who donated supplies and everyone who pitched in to assemble the kits!
