January Recap

January Recap:
In January we started off the new year with the celebration of Epiphany, remembering the Magi’s visit to the infant Jesus. Epiphany has many traditions associated with it like gift giving, king cake, and writing chalk blessing over your door for the new year.
On January 18, we woke up to a snowy Sunday morning, an unusual sight in Macon. We persevered and held worship despite the snow, which was beginning to melt by the afternoon.
Over MLK Jr. Day weekend, the youth went on a winter retreat to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for skiing and snowboarding and all kinds of winter fun.
On January 25, we held our Annual Meeting to review 2025, elect new vestry members, and hear reports from our clergy and vestry officers.
On to February!
