March Recap:
In March we observed Lent and prepared for Holy Week and Easter.
On March 1, the choir led us in a beautiful Choral Evensong in Jones Chapel. It was a Lenten service emphasizing the beauty of chanted prayers and simple melodies.
The next weekend, our middle schoolers went to Camp Mikell for the diocesan New Beginnings retreat.
On March 8, many families gathered at the home of Chris & Evan Hair for the Young Family Supper Club.
From March 21 through March 24, we joined in celebrating Macon’s annual Cherry Blossom Festival, enjoying the beauty of spring flowers. We hosted a wonderful art show curated by Ginny Lane Sheridan and offered stained glass window tours to the public led by Russ Henry and Susan Welsh.
On March 29, we began Holy Week with Palm Sunday.
