October Recap!
Fall is here in force and at Christ Church we took many opportunities to enjoy the cooler weather and autumn vibes of the season.
On October 4, we celebrated St. Francis Day and honored Francis of Assisi’s love of the natural world by gathering in the Memorial Garden in the morning for a celebration of God’s creation and a blessing service for all our pets.
On October 5, the Christ Church Choir blessed us with the first of their quarterly Evensongs for the program year. Evensong is a service of Evening Prayer with hymns, prayers, canticles sung by a choir.
On October 19, we went to the Holliday’s farm in Juliette for our annual Parish Picnic.
On October 20, we hosted writer Allen Levi, author of the novel Theo of Golden, for a talk and book signing attended by over 400 people from around the southeast.
On October 26, our youth went on their annual EYC Haunted House night.
On October 29, the children came in their many costumes for the All Hallows’ Eve Service and Carnival.
